How to sell gold
What We Do
You go through your old jewelry and other gold items to look for anything that is old or out-of-style or damaged - or just isn't wanted or needed anymore. If you would like to sell this gold and have cash today for the things that you really want, we are here to help. We buy your unwanted gold and gold jewelry that is:
- Broken
- Old
- Twisted
- Ugly
- Damaged
- Out of Style
The process we use to buy gold:
We are a local buyer of gold operating out of the South Kansas City Metro Area. We will arrange to meet you at a public location convenient to you (like a local coffee shop) to evaluate the quality and quantity of your gold items. There is nothing mysterious about the process. As you can see from our Golden Rule page, we want you to understand the process and have complete confidence in us. We want you to come back to us in the future, and also to recommend us to your family and friends who want to sell gold.
The process is very simple and can generally be completed in just a few minutes:
- We check to see that your items are indeed gold and not gold-plated or some other metal. There are a variety of techniques we use, including visual, electrical and magnetic test devices. We apologize, but we do not buy gold plated jewelry.
- We test for purity - the Karat value of your gold. The higher the karats, the purer and more valuable the item. We separate the items into groups by Karats - 10KT, 14KT, 18KT, etc.
- We weigh each group and determine the total value based on the value of the gold in each group.
- We will then make you a written offer to buy on the spot. If you choose to accept, we will give you cash.
There is no wait, no checks to cash, no worry about lost or delayed shipments. If you decide not to accept our offer, your items have not left your possession. There is no hard sell and no obligation. The decision is always completely yours. For more information on our values and the way we offer our services, please visit our Golden Rule page. We think you'll like the way we do business.
